Outpatient Clinic Services

We provide mental health assessment, treatment, and referral for residents of Central and Southern Alameda County. For selected adults( in partnership with Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services) we provide case management, psychiatric services, individual therapy, and group therapy. We screen and provide services for Spanish-Speaking adults without insurance coverage. We provide care under the Victims of Crime Program. We offer peer counseling in Spanish in WRAP groups. For children and teen with Medical, we offer individual and family therapy, and for very young children, this therapy focuses on strengthening the caregiver-child relationship. La Familia strives to involve family and caregivers in treatment.

Outpatient Training Program

The Training Program has a multicultural focus. It integrates theory and practicein treatment of adults, adolescents, children, and families. In addition to individual supervision, and videotape study of treatment sessions, we offer didactic seminars and case conferences that run throughout the 11-month training year. Training is offered to practicum students, pre-doctoral interns, and postdoctoral fellows. Accreditationis through CAPIC (California Psychology Internship Council) and BaPIC (Bay Area Practicum Information Collaborative), and selection of trainees follows their organizational procedures. We have a strong commitment to the professional development of bilingual clinicians to meet the needs of our community.
