La Familia’s Intensive Children’s Day Treatment Program serves 30 children ages 12 through 17. These are multicultural children with challenging emotional disorders. In collaboration with Hayward Unified School District’s Special Education Program (HUSD/SED) children and adolescents participate in daily supportive and therapeutic activities that are essential to assure that children continue to live in the community. Without these services, the children would be more likely to be placed in residential treatment centers or be hospitalized.

This Medi-Cal Certified Intensive Program is extremely demanding and ranks among the best in the State of California. Led by licensed personnel this program serves four school districts.
